Brief Biodata
Dr. R. P. Gupta completed his M.Tech and Ph.D from NIT, Jamshedpur and BIT, Sindri respectively. He has more than 25 years of teaching and administrative experience. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, MIT, Muzaffarpur.
He has published more than 30 research papers in International and National Journals. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE) and a Lifetime Member of ISTE. He is also a Certified Chartered Engineer.

Engineers are the building blocks of any nation. Being a developing country,
engineers have to play a pivotal role for holistic and robust development of our nation
in sectors such as Infrastructure, Space, Nuclear, Defence, Railways, Automobile,
Highways, Medical Equipments, Technical Education, Innovation and Research etc.
From an agrarian society to a hot-bed of innovations, the world has come a long way, but much more needs to be achieved going forward for the betterment of mankind.

The muzaffarpur local Centre of The Institution of Engineers (I), established in 1969 at Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur. After its establishment, it is providing a local platform where cutting-edge advancement in engineering R & D, current engineering technological ideas are shared by organizing seminar, conference, workshop, discussion on recent topic and many others technical activities. It invites eminent personalities of local area to deliver lectures on different occasions.
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology, established in 1920 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935.It is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers encompassing 15 (fifteen) engineering disciplines with a membership of more than 820 thousand, and serving the nation for more than 9 decades. The IEI has its headquarters located in Kolkata with national presence through more than hundred Centres and several Overseas Chapters, Foras and Organ.
The Muzaffarpur Local center has five engineering divisions and more than 1000 corporate members associated with it.
